This makes me so angry. We (humans) don't deserve the beauty that these magnificent birds present to the environment!

How's your leg Nicola?

Thanks Chris. It's a subject that fascinates me. Hugh's book seems to be part of a very niche area, but it's one of my most valued books. I'm glad you got a good copy from Abe books.

Very grateful to @ckolonko.bsky.social for coming such a long way to give, what will be, a fascinating talk.

Blimey Nicola! A broken leg! Ouch. I hope you are comfortable and not in pain now? How long will you be bandaged up for? Poor you.

It's a stunning scene Hedley. It was also a wonderful walk yesterday.

Very much looking forward to this Guy. The title alone is fantastic. If you want a guide next Springtime, on the Downs here, I promise to give you stories from the past and a hidden gem where the butterflies flourish.

It's some stickers. Get some perspective.

Keep up the great work Zack.

Thanks Chris. Hugh's book is not cheap but it was fasinating. I struggled to find many books on this subject when I was doing my initial research so thank you for highlighting Peter's writing.

Zoning would need to be drawn up to examine where the worst areas of danger are & safe, humanitarian places & corridors would urgently need to be established. Rebuilding, faithful to the former Gaza could be & should be the goal. Collective trauma of the Palestinian people is the reality.

If the ceasefire plan works, the reality of rebuilding would take years, but first, unexploded ordnance needs to be cleared alongside the tragedy of finding people who have been lost and unaccounted for under the rubble. Land contamination will be a huge challenge.
