I had the pleasure of talking about bicycle manufacturing in Germany in this podcast (in German): mehrblogs.uni-jena.de/spaceconomic... There are more bicycles than cars in Germany - but the attention is on the automotive sector.

In the first 2 issues of this year, the Cambridge Journal of regions, Economy and Society examined "Left Behind Places"; in issue 1 we ask "What they are and why do they matter? (academic.oup.com/cjres/issue/...) and in issue 2 we ask "What can be done?" (academic.oup.com/cjres/issue/...)
