My reporting later confirmed that Rudy Giuliani met w/ Cathy Latham—a GOP official later indicted in the breach—just one day before he proposed accessing Georgia voting machines during a 2020 White House meeting.

Giuliani & Latham are both on the pardon list

News coverage of this has focused on the pardon of those involved in the fake electors plot.

But the pardon also extends to key figures who participated in the unauthorized breach of voting systems in Coffee County, Georgia

Ed Martin seemed to explicitly link the pardons to his “No MAGA left behind” mantra—tweeting the news in reply to a post that said exactly that.

In addition to his role as pardon attorney, Martin leads the Weaponization Working Group, which probes alleged “politicization” of the Justice Department.

Trump doesn’t, however, include himself in the pardon.

The language specifically says that the pardon does not apply to the president.
November 10, 2025 at 5:18 AM
The language of this pardon is extremely broad.

It includes “all United States citizens for conduct relating to the advice, creation, organization, execution, submission, support, voting, activities, participation in, or advocacy for or of any slate or proposed slate of Presidential
electors…”

Trump’s pardon attorney Ed Martin claims Trump is pardoning his Georgia co-defendants and other “alternate electors.”

Note: Trump’s Georgia co-defendants are charged under state law. The president can’t pardon people for state crimes.

Looking forward to Ed’s response.

Saturday night “Hey Ed” series

Ed Martin, using his official DOJ account, is now promoting an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory accusing a former Capitol Police officer of planting pipe bombs on J6.

Just yesterday, a post from the same account claimed it was “false” that the DOJ had identified Shauni Kerkhoff as the suspect.

November 8, 2025 at 5:04 AM
Right-wing accounts on X have been spreading a baseless conspiracy theory accusing a former Capitol Police officer of planting the J6 pipe bombs.

Amid all that, Ed Martin posted a thread that spelled out “P I P E ?”

He later deleted some of the tweets and then posted this on his DOJ account:

NEW: “To read it is to spend 48 pages understanding the depth of corruption in the Justice Department in the second Trump administration.”

@benjaminwittes.lawfaremedia.org and I break down DOJ’s response to James Comey’s vindictive prosecution motion. ⬇️

Watching A House of Dynamite and really enjoying it so far, but the scene in which the Deputy National Security Advisor takes a call about a likely nuclear strike while wearing AirPods amid a crowd of tourists is too much.

Might as well Signal chat a journalist about it at that point

At the arraignment, Tish James's counsel said that her motion does not ask the judge to make a finding as to whether Halligan engaged in wrongdoing.

As such, the judge does not opine on the matter—but he does note that her communications with me were "unusual."

NEW: Judge Walker partially grants Letitia James's motion related to Lindsey Halligan's Signal exchange.

The judge will require DOJ to preserve any communications—including communications with the media—about the case.

But he won't require the government to maintain a log of its media contacts.

I’m sorry but the concept of being “horrified” by the toilet in the Lincoln bathroom is so funny

No. The deed and mortgage documents are public land records. It's been clear from the start that the second home rider (and Fannie Mae guidelines) did not prohibit her from renting out the property, even in the first year.

Letitia James’s lawyers asked the judge to make DOJ keep a log of its media contacts about the case.

DOJ argues that if that happens, James should have to keep a log, too.

DOJ's filing claims that Tish James's public comments are more problematic than Halligan’s texts.

DOJ filed its response to Letitia James's motion today.

It argues that Lindsey Halligan's text exchange with me was appropriate because her comments were made "to protect [her] client from the substantial undue prejudicial effect of recent publicity..."
