Like, it's a turn-off for a lot of people to have this weird sniper scope in 3D, but they didn't care. Once you know how to use it, it's such a fucking awesome feature that creates x10 immersion and gameplay impact, it's crazy. That's their way. That's why I love Capcom. Our weird action game gods.

kept the 3D on for like 10 minutes and then switched it off. The reason? Sniper rifle scopes were jarring, impossible to aim with. Only yesterday I found out that you gotta CLOSE ONE EYE to be able to aim with snipers in 3D. CAPCOM, you bastards, this is genius, GENIUS, and very bold, as always.

Yeah, its unfortunate that PS2 didn't had triggers.
December 30, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Yeah, but at least people with patience will be satisfied hah. I love the PS2's pressure-sensitive buttons. Every other MGS3 version just doesn't feel right without that sticky, firm, and gentle feeling of some in-game actions. They should have brought back pressure sensitivity for the DualSense ;-;

Interesting, I also have the New XL, and I always thought that the ideal 3D is too far for comfort, hah. They found the middle ground that doesn't quite satisfy anyone but is not horrible for anyone, I guess.
December 30, 2025 at 3:54 PM
And yeah, there's also a fucking 3D without glasses, if everything else wasn't enough somehow. What a platform.

It's so cool to use, and with full DS back compat, it has just an elder primordial gods tier library. What a system. The only thing that comes close is the PS2. Both systems feel like your gaming buddies living with you, coexisting. I guess it just so happened that much love was put into them.
December 30, 2025 at 11:12 AM
Damn, more people should buy new Lumines, Humanity and Tetris Effect, Its sad to see Enchance struggling.
December 30, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Oh, I'm glad it does. I think it's a great game! I think you can't avoid using pen and paper to draw maps when you play it, but otherwise, I love how it translates the tension of the Aliens Newt rescue sequence into gameplay.
December 26, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Oh I how wish I could see it all in real life. I will repeat myself, you're really fucking cool, Aurora.
December 26, 2025 at 2:15 AM
Yeah, you can pre-load your game remotely with the PS app, with the latest patches applied. And the only other update you have to worry about is the system update once every couple of months; it's optional at first and takes like a minute anyway.

I love it too, so far. Unfortunately, the PS4 version when played on PS5 has an unremovable 60 fps patch that breaks animations very badly: too fast, jittery, everything out of sync, cuts off too fast. The PS5 upgraded version has a 30 fps mode, but it is also a bit weird, but presentable.
