The US isn't looking to place proper safeguards on any of these apps but simply deciding which corporate oligarch controls them. We truly need new social media / online ecosystems where we can control our own data and free of algorithms meant to manipulate us.

I was on TikTok last night &, at 1030pm Eastern Time, it glitched and kicked me out. I went back in & got the screen of death. SERIOUSLY, AT THE SAME TIME, fireworks were nonstop for 30 mins at trump's golf course down the street (VA) for a pre-inauguration celebration thanking large donors. smdh
