Football is nothing if it's not for everyone. I rarely share fundraising campaigns, but projects like this keep me believing in the good in football.

I study asexuality for a living. You can read my thoughts on why Rowling threw her anti-ace hissy fit here: cantonwiner.substack.com/p/and-then-j...

Since I forgot to include it above: The same logic of course applies to aromanticism, so I guess it‘s just a matter of time until JKR & co stumble across that one too.

…making it easier to recruit them into their broader cult.

I am sure that there is more to say about this and other people will put it better, but I think these are some core aspects. Asexuality is inherently queer and thus going against terf‘s small-minded and hateful world view.

As asexuals don’t fit into said boxes, terfs love to sprinkle in asexuality into their narrative that „this is going too far“ for shock value. They use it to their advantage that asexuality is so unknown that many people don‘t recognize aphobic statements as bigoted and harmful…

That’s one aspect, yes. According to terfs, people are either male or female (determined by gender assigned at birth) and either straight or gay. Anyone who‘s not fitting into those restrictive boxes is made out to be (1) broken and (2) a threat to women/society/whatever.

Now that you mention it… at least she was considerate enough to use an informative sharepic 😅👍🏼

…I also wholeheartedly agree with the great Ursula K. Le Guin who called the first HP book „a lively kid's fantasy crossed with a ‚school novel‘, good fare for its age group, but stylistically ordinary, imaginatively derivative, and ethically rather mean-spirited“.
