Do you draw on the same computer you use for work? I find when my workspace doubles as my personal space it's harder to draw/do things on the computer after. When I'm freelancing I always shift to video games because it's in a different spot in my home.

OC-led projects are, imo, the best way to go because it gives people full creative control of the world, the characters, and the story. Imagine it everyone stopped wasting their time hate-watching and channeled that energy into creating the stories they want to see...

One of the most interesting phenomena I've observed is that some of the biggest haters of certain media are former fans who felt "betrayed" by the path the creator took. And the obsession with hate-watching is WILD.

If I ever ended up in a creator role of a large piece of media... I'd literally delete all my socials and focus on creating. Fandom culture as a whole is just too chaotic and unhinged. And I'm saying that as someone who has participated in fandoms for decades!

It has always been there, but I think social media exacerbated the effects. Being able to communicate with creators gives people this illusion of control... like they're part of the decision-making. Before that you had to write them physical fan-mail.

By that I mean... I've witnessed nuclear crashouts from people because their fav fictional character or plot went in a direction they feared. And since media is often used as a substitute for therapy, it has a profound effect on their emotions and well-being. And it really shouldn't be that way.

I've been thinking about this for awhile now and I think there is a growing issue with how fans interact with media and how they choose to surrender their health and happiness to something they have zero control over. Especially fictional characters.

This was the layout I saw the first time I stumbled on your site! I remember loving that little Eevee in the leaves.

There's a difference between saying "I know the writers had zero intentions of making this 90's show gay but I'm choosing to see it that way" and "But look at the whole premise! It's 100% gay, the writers knew what they were doing!" (no they didn't).

And to be clear, I don't think there's anything wrong with headcanon-ing the characters in these shows as queer, but propping it up as a queer show feels a bit insulting to the creators who fought tooth and nail for genuine queer rep in Disney properties (Ducktales 2017 and Owl House for example).

Something I've seen is younger gens discovering Disney cartoons from the 90's and re-contextualizing everything as queer through a modern day lens. Then prop it up as as queer (sometimes tongue-in-cheek) to the point where newcomers go into the show expecting genuine queer rep.

#AnjFolio Creating inbetweens for props is something riggers do occasionally too. I spent a bit of time looking at slow-motion videos of blossoming flowers to design these inbetweens! (note: I did not animate the shot, that is done by the amazing animators).

Just the simple action of a character picking up a prop and walking around with it, maybe turning it upside-down... can take you from 4 views to 10+ very quickly! I feel like I've had to flex my layout skills more than I ever expected while working in builds.

Saw people on tumblr and reddit who were like "What's the equivalent of a Himbo? Not a bimbo, but like... a girl who is friendly and buff" and it's like...... are we not seeing the problem here.
