I’m an Utah local. Was the outrage because the Prince liked pink? I haven’t read the book. My oldest son liked pink when he was little. He’s now 30 years old and still likes bright colors (yellow, orange, pink.) And his 3 year old son likes purple, pink and green.

Congratulations! As a long time fan, I’m not surprised at all! I recently had the privilege of seeing your original for the cover of Way of Kings (painting now owned by Brandon Sanderson) & it was incredible. Your art is so visually seamless that it was magical getting up close to see the brushwork

Using Greek Mythology, philosopher Carl Jung established, what he called, The Seven Female Archetypes that are still used in literature and media today. One of those archetypes is The Mystic: She is spiritual and feels connected to a higher power. Her focus is often directed inward searching for inner peace. She is deeply introverted and enjoys her solitude. A seeker of harmony and inner calm she is also often able to help others feel balanced. A portrait of Nellie Bly. Fountain pens surround her head making a halo shape. Nellie Bly, a pioneer in investigative journalism, went undercover as a patient at the Blackwell Insane Asylum in NY in 1887. Her articles describing the horrific abuse that she and the other patients received caused such an uproar that the city of New York issued widespread reforms, including a million dollars given annually, towards the care of the mentally disabled. Nellie Bly is considered one of the inventors of undercover journalism. She was also an outspoken activist on women’s rights and published many articles on the subject.
