When I asked why, he said that there were 4 or 5 members that he just didn’t want to deal with if he removed it. This is what I talking about. I am not saying you tell Trump voters to leave. But you have to tackle the issues that are shoring up that support. I have lots more thoughts but will stop

Unfortunately, at times being welcoming to all has caused our leadership to not call out wrongs of MAGA in fear of driving away those who voted for him. Not all parishes, but many. I recently moved and a parish I visited still has an American flag flying close to the alter. 2/2

I will have to just say, that while the majority of Episcopalians don’t support this (including most of our leadership), still many still voted for Trump. I had to step away from my parish because I had people who said they loved me still vote for Trump. I couldn’t get through to them 1/2

As much as I hate the implications, I think for us to get where we need, it is going to take a lot of destruction that brings pain to many (hopefully, not Great Depression ruin or Civil War destruction but close). But if it happens, I think we get to either several amendments or a full rewrite
