The two main reasons I think are:
- We have a bespoke platform and don't give great feedback if/when a frontend breaks SSR.
- A large chunk of our react site is auth'd, and we lose a lot of the benefit of SSR there (no need for SEO, and our caching strategy doesn't work with user data being SSR'd)

We have capabilities for SSR but 95% of the site opts out
