The government allows foreign students to work 20 hours a week. Yesterday’s white paper does nothing to change that. Nor does it have proposals to crack down on people working illegally. If Starmer thinks vilifying immigrants will somehow help him govern, then he’s stupider than I ever imagined.

What is so wrong with immigrants? How exactly are we creating an “island of strangers”? I have friends from everywhere, including people born here. And Starmer talks about us like vermin that need to be ‘controlled’. He is the one creating strangers by making us feel unwanted. Shame on him.
