A difficult summit in life or a highest and decisive peak in a purposeful life journey (kaawoo) is same as a lover's swear: “I would climb the highest mountain for your love”. Mountain folklore inspired me to engage in this practical need for securing mountain and mountain ecosystems in crisis.

Dimtu Mount (Tullu Dimtu)

Another mountain crisis, Tullu Dimtu and its ecosystems east of the capital, Oromia/Ethiopia. Nonnative plants seem more resilient, as they were.

The Westerncentric Christian civilization that Nature is what man is ordained to rule on calls for Man's another Fall.

🦜Bird watching

Busy working on this "mountain research" grant stuff. And this yellow-winged little bird, escorting me to the breakfast, is also busy gathering leaves (from my sugarcane yet to grow) for building a nest, and some more foods. Everyone one of us is in charge of something.

Ducks dance .... another epic here.

Reminds of Leonord's "Dance me to the end of love"

So, this is not about the "collective humans," in Bruno Latour's terms, this time, as it is about my inner ecosystem.

...I wonder why I keep thinking myself somebody one can sit with for long in silence, feeling wanted, appreciated, adored, cared for, even loved?

God knows why, not a poet! 🤔

Hi there folks.

1☘️Photoshooter: is there a magic formula to posing? One usable image I used here out of many. See next my new book cover.

2☘️Researcher: if "I hate it like hell!" is a lived-experience tell, we read the story as an ethnographic (auto)biography like my new book below, Anis☘️ Atis?

Living at the foot of this mountain, in Adama, Oromia, Northeast Africa, I know it is peaceful, quiet, relaxing. Slow moving winds give a grumpy face soft touches and to smile to the future. Come. Chances are you inhabit your own little slice of mostly untouched nature.

This is a sacred place, a mountain and an Oda (a sycamore family) where people meet at the top to perform rain rituals and pray for peace and prosperity in May. Now the mountain and mountain ecosystems suffer massive degradation.
