Israel is engaging in repeated blatant ceasefire violations every day. The strategic equilibrium has shifted dramatically due to their decisive victory in the last round of fighting, changing political circumstances in both the USA and France, the brokers of the ceasefire and the Syrian situation.

Even though core Hindu religious texts do not mandate female seclusion, sutras and smritis - semi legal, semi religious gnomic verses and the commentaries associated with them, do recommend (but not mandate) seclusion and warn their (primarily male) audience of the "dangers" of female freedom

You didn't "forgive" the communists. The only reason the Iron curtain collapsed was because heads of state of the eastern bloc knew they would receive fair treatment. If this was proclaimed in '89 there would have been no democratisation and the communist regimes would have simply continued

Thank you for responding. Is it likely that this high exchange rate steeply dropped off with distance from the copper sources in Dilmun ? What would the value of silver have been in, say, Assyria, Anatolia or Canaan ?

The copper to silver ratio here seems extreme. In most of the ancient world iirc the copper:silver ratio was 10-15. What made silver so expensive in 2nd millennium BCE Dilmun ?
