two sides of the same [fashion] coin.

clueless (1995) and the craft (1996) had similar effects on fashion in their time. while “clueless” had major influence in mainstream and helped define the prep trend of the 90s, “the craft” drew from the grunge scene and really ushered in the alt-girl era.

i feel like this look on mikey madison’s ani *had* to have been a shoutout to julia roberts’s vivian. the blue, the oversized jacket, and the boots of it all just feel too intentional.
