Once upon a time, there was a little girl that loved to read books, listen to records, do arts & crafts and fall asleep in the canoe. From her little nest, she had a magnificent view of every moonrise and afternoon rainbow. Today... well, today:
The reverse is also true. I remember the awe and admiration at one girl's lunch box reveal: a short, single serving can of 7-Up (an uncommon size at the time). The normal beverage for most lunch boxes was a juice box or Capri-Sun. I, and many kids, simply made due with the drinking fountain.

Is that illustration depicting a real location? Curious about the architecture and geography. Wonderful colors! Do you do the borders first or sort like-looking pieces into blobs?

I wonder what their criteria of "participation" is. If they didn't count people who weren't able to get out of their car due to disbility or caregiving duties (Team 🎺🚗🎺🚙🎺🛻), it could be even higher!

We'll probably do some 2 or 3AM mornings as it gets closer to crunch time, with a separate late crew staying over to hand off. Truck is staying at 4AM delivery time for now. They won't authorize differential pay, and I'm too old for this!

Historically, we have used fire to remove overgrowth, enrich the soil, and allow room for desirable plants and animals to flourish. This is just another prescribed burn after the weeds have grown a little out of control.

Minority communities are harmed enough already, however a failure to attempt to reverse the harms of this current regime will mean those communities continue to be left behind.

I mourn their imagination. Their only conceivable manifestation of happiness is overlaying their unique existence onto a corporate matrix. I hope they can break free and seek meaningful happiness elsewhere. Have they tried wrapping themselves up in a towel fresh from the dryer? It's pretty great.
