Bless you, Kyoani, for putting 1000% effort into animating something that's like all the least funny bits of Nichijou.

It's ok, but the female MC is way too sweet and cutesy for my tastes. Plus, I'm so tired of seeing the "guy saves the girl from getting accosted by creepy dudes" trope.

I liked the first season, but it was already losing me with all those yandere characters. I liked the chill vibes, not the serious "what if monsters are bad?"
S2 seems like more of that, and I couldn't even remember half of the characters, so I dropped it.

First half of the episode was all right, but then I started seeing more and more red flags, and I haven't heard anything about the rest of the series that would make me reconsider. Plus the giant monster shapeshifts into a human form. Boooring!

Oh my god this new character is so annoying. I used to like this show a lot, but Science Future has been pretty underwhelming.

This is an objectively good show. I just don't want to watch it. The first episode was double length, and good lord was it hard to finish. It's not edgy or overly graphic, but it's rough nonetheless.

This is a Netflix dump so I've actually almost finished the show already. My enthusiasm has faded since the strong beginning, but it's still a perfectly fine show, and the interesting setting (Alt-history WW1 with mecha and sky whales) goes a long way.

My standards for Youtube shorts aren't very high, but... this is actually good? The dialogue, especially the banter between the two main characters, feels more natural than in most high budget productions.

Still going strong after the first cour, it surprises me how consistently I've been enjoying this series. I thought it would get old after a while, but Anne is just such a charming character.
Davy-boy can drown for all I care, though.

Three episodes in, and I can already tell this is going to be one of the best anime of the year. It's a really compelling story, and the visuals are crazy. Ep2 especially managed to create a really unsettling atmosphere. I'm really curious where this one is going.

If this was just about a bumbling fool detective and her clever sidekick, it might've been tolerable. But for some reason there is also another, even bigger, bumbling fool, who is extremely obnoxious. The mystery didn't get resolved in ep1, but I already don't care.

Speaking of discount Yuru Camp... even though it's the same author, it's less good in every way: the characters, the comedy, even the "making the hobby look fun and appealing" part. It's based on a 4koma manga and it shows.

Everything from here on down I dropped after ep1. This is like a discount Yuru Camp, where the sightseeing is really all there's to it. It's not bad, but I was basically done halfway through the episode. The photorealistic backgrounds are very jarring.

This show has a lot of potential, but ep1 felt about 5 minutes too long, like it had to run out the clock to have the 'twist' at the end of the episode. Hopefully it gets better from here. I'm at least more interested in it than the #3 and #4 on this list.

Yeah it's flashy and cool, but in a way that seems like it's trying too hard to capture that Cowboy Bebop magic, and the action scenes in ep1 were *excessively* long. Combined with a core premise that's kind of stupid, I'm pretty skeptical about this one. Will decide after ep2.

This certainly seems to be more lighthearted than Mouryou no Hako. The first episode was all right, but it remains to be seen if the mystery-solving will be interesting enough going forward.

I'm intrigued by the mystery angle, and the retro vibes are neat and fit the story well (nostalgia about an idealized past seem to be a big theme). That said, I'm pretty ambivalent about the characters and the central romance itself so far. Will have to see.

I wasn't even planning on watching this, but it's surprisingly charming, with a lot of effort put in the expressiveness of the characters (mainly Anne herself). I don't know if the story will continue to hold my attention, but it has a lot going for it.
