Short answer: Only Creature Commandos forward is pure canon. For instance, Rick Flag Jr was killed because we heard Rick Flag Sr talking about it in Creature Commandos, not because we saw it in The Suicide Squad. (1/2)

But I do have one question after watching.
Is The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker fully DCU cannon because most plot points in them were either referenced or followed up on in CC?

Short answer: Only Creature Commandos forward is pure canon. For instance, Rick Flag Jr was killed because we heard Rick Flag Sr talking about it in Creature Commandos, not because we saw it in The Suicide Squad. (1/2)

Long answer: Only CC forward is pure canon; Peacemaker is almost entirely consistent with that canon other than the Justice League; The Suicide Squad has a lot of consistencies but I think of it as an imperfect memory. (2/2)

I’ve been looking forward for months to sharing the finale of #CreatureCommandos today, as it’s one of my favorite things I’ve been part of. Unfortunately due to the fires & the loss of life & the loss of the the homes of so many people I love, this day is less celebratory than I had hoped.
