This is a lovely little bit of writing. If you haven't already, get yourself some recipe books as well as the instagram recipes. Ruby Tandoh's books would be my top pick. I love grabbing a well used book and having it fall open on a loved recipe, the pages splattered from previous cooking.

The restored videos on their DEVOvision YouTube channel are wonderful- I'd only ever seen them before on blurry VHS tapes. I'm guessing they were originally filmed on 16mm so the quality is very good when digitised/restored. You can imagine someone seeing them and thinking they were made in 2025.

Not sure if it helps but, as an artist fiddling with code, I've found your work, and writing, both really useful and inspiring. The amount of tools you have created, both open source, and now in UE, have fired up my creativity and ideas. The joy of runtime boolean operations!
