At least 174 racehorses have died in Australia in the past 12 months — the highest in a decade. 85 died from fatal front-limb fractures. Many deaths aren’t reported. Racing Victoria’s senior vet alleges pressure to clear horses. Even with safety checks, they’re still dying. 💔🐎

Behind the holiday “feast” is immense suffering. Most turkeys are crammed in windowless sheds, then caught, transported, shackled upside down, feathers torn from still-warm bodies. Even “free-range” isn’t better—ADI filmed workers grabbing, crushing birds into crates. Choose #crueltyfree this year.

For 7+ decades, animals have been sent into space with no legal protections. Laika died of overheating within hours. Chimpanzee Ham endured shocks & trauma. Animals are not disposable test subjects—they deserve respect, care & legal protection.

A lioness illegally kept as a pet escaped in Thailand, attacking an 11-year-old boy and injuring a neighbor before being sedated. Wild animals are NOT pets or status symbols. ADI condemns all ownership — lions belong in the wild, not in homes. #EndPetTrade

ADI and other attendees at the International Anti-Bullfighting Summit demonstrated today at the Congress of Deputies of Spain, in Madrid. The protest was against a recent decision to block the formal request for a debate about ending the ‘cultural heritage’ status of bullfighting.
