The point of this effort is to show that no one is safe. The tRump admin is “othering” everyone they don’t deem “real American”. The amazing thing about where Trump admin are coming from is that they can't believe that SO many people are against his policies. If they keep talk about it being "funded" it allows them diminish the fact people think these policies are too heavy handed and don't actually help the US in any way.
