I guess the users of these avatars have not been around SL when the "complexity thing" has been introduced.
And when they are still wearing old stuff (mostly flexy hair or old jewellery) they might not be aware of their complexity. I mean, that is not an excusion but at least an explanation.

I got that. I don't have problems either with a PBR viewer. BUT: It heats up my system more than the old one. And since I am retired I will never ever again have the budget to purchase a new one. So I simply want to preserve an protect my machine :D

Belleza also is nice but the fact that their customer support is low while their prices are astronomic excludes them in my eyes.

Moreover my budget is small. So I still stick to Maitreya. After the release of the X version there were not much clothes, but meanwhile there are. (Though I wished more of them would not forget about LaraX Petite.....Have some "androgyne" versions of my Avatar who need it). I have tried lots of ↘️

To me the Legacy is the most beautiful one, but I don't use it because I hate the policy of the creators and I still remember the scandal about TMP back in the days. And since Legacy is made by partly the same people who used to cheat their customers so bad... it is a NoGo. ↘️

used "real hair" from hair donations for her wigs, a barber shop and a big wig company who frauded by declaring their products wrong. I had to smile all the time while watching. So much hair in SL AND RL in only one day!

And when I want to be somewhere with a lot PBR, well okay, then I use the Aperture Viewer. But it happens not often.

maybe you are more roaming around than I am. I am a little hermit, most of the time alone at home. On the weekends I am a shopping addict because of all the weekend sales. And maybe once a month I visit a region I've never been to. To take some pics. So I only stumble upon "the white" sometimes. :)

I have a non PBR for "everyday play" and a PBR enabled one for special days. For example when I am in a region where most things are PBR textured and I am tired of "white stuff". :) My PC is a gaming one, but 5 years old. I am simply not able to buy a new one or new parts all the time.

I mean, it has always been a fact that, depending on one's preferences, #SecondLife looks different so even if two users are standing side by side at the same region they won't see the same world. But PBR increases this a lot. And some users who can't afford a strong↘️

Agreed. And it causes a lot of probs for users. The ones using a PBR Viewer may have probs in Shops where the vendor pics are lit, because they can hardly see the product because of "too much shine". On the other hand, users of non PBR viewers will see more and more plain white stuff the more PBR ↘️

Haha, yeah, you nailed it!
Experienced it all during close to 15 years of SL residency.
There is only one exception: Voice chat. I never had/have it active because it never used to work well. Just like a moody witch :)
