An ibis hunting for food in Sandgate Queensland. May that excess water we’ve been getting make its way to LA in the US. Our hearts are with you.

The creek is topped up after a day of rain and water runs over the weir, the rhythm of wet and dry. This is a land of extremes made worse by climate change. What was sub-tropical is now tropical. We migrants insist on trying to run things instead of living as part of the ecology. A lot to learn.

As an expat living in Australia, watching the USA going through its social and political convulsions is a bit like watching this blowhole. Thank you for holding the faith for a positive trajectory. (Photo is from Whakarerewarera Thermal Reserve in NZ)

Look closely. Birds nesting in the trees along the nearby creek as the sun went down yesterday. The white ones are Ibis, known here as “bin chickens.” Not sure what the black ones are, does anyone else?

May you be well and happy. May you be strong, confident and peaceful. May you be safe, and may you have serenity in the midst of confusion. May you understand, and may you act.

Hi, this is my first BlueSky post. Greetings from Australia. We follow what happens in the US with great interest as our welfare depends partly on you. Hello to all my Aussie brothers and sisters, and Tenzin and Leia wish all you US-ers a good night.
