Former Nashville Metro Council District 18 Candidate • No one likes Robert’s Rules of Order (but the dude abides) • People Over Property • Pro-Union
I’ve been distracted with fusus stuff for several weeks so didn’t bring it up; but we received notice of lead pipes on the metro side of our home’s water line about two weeks ago. There’s an interactive map where you can check your status in case you missed the letter.
An initial survey found 1.3% of Nashville's water service lines are made of lead, with 35% needing further analysis. In response to findings, Metro Water has reached out to customers with known line material, and launched an interactive map to track progress.

this is a red flag. please continue to apply pressure, however you are able. the people have spoken (and won) and any attempt by the administration to strip us of that win is an indictment of their character.
Yesterday, he said if this was approved they’d continue to work with people & organizations that expressed concerns.

Today, after losing the vote, he said he would work closely with MNPD and council. Ignoring FORTY-SIX local organizations, many of whom who put him in office is… really something.

As a long suffering Vanderbilt fan, I know how important it is to savor a win. Nashville won tonight. While I’m still disappointed in admin/council, and this is but a small victory on the path to liberation; I’m grateful for the 18 CMs who listened to the people tonight.

We all want a better Nashville. Sometimes that means the mayor you’ve long rooted for needs to take a loss. I’m hopeful that happens tonight.
