Trying to get off Twitter, here for Tottenham takes, Philadelphia Eagles and fantasy/sci-fi book recs
Don’t think it’s a great signing because it blocks where Sarr/Lucas/Archie play but maybe a positive:
#1 step in the right direction in terms of spending strategy i.e. it was done quickly with little negotiating for a player they want
#2 we don’t have to listen to transfer rumors linking us anymore

Would love this, but they won’t fire Nick

I would usually agree but I trust the defense more and you should definitely get the ball again. I think it’s a toss up

My wife and I almost started re-ligating Conte last night…times are bleak

The goal is a shit game every other game, but hopefully not twice in a row. It’s a lofty goal that our manager sets

Has there been a more boring to watch Spurs team in the last two decades? I’m struggling to stay awake

Frank would be so happy about that

Great video

I thought @nathanaclark.bsky.social broke this play down really well on their last podcast

The only counter would be that this incredibly defensive approach can’t be helping our young players develop. Like if we could get an interim coach who plays out from the back and plays Archie, Lucas, Pape, Wilson and Tel so we know who to keep and who to sell. Then get a manager in the summer.

Almost makes me more upset that we could play like this more often.

I personally think it had less to do with play style and more to do with poor player rotation.

Frank has done a great job at rotating the squad in all positions. Will be interested what he does with FB’s cause we have only really had one game a week since Udogie was injured (again).

What did we practice this week? Cause it looks worse than last weekend so far.

Sure if this was a one off occurrence. But this is pretty much the norm this year. IMO that is on the coaching when it happens repeatedly. I don’t think our player talent is that bad personally.

I think it’s been shown more times than not that it isn’t a linear progression. It’s not give managers like that a bigger budget and they do better. I think the way he sets his team up is perfect for a team with a smaller budget to end up mid table. That’s just not what I want for Spurs.
December 14, 2025 at 6:39 PM
So at best he’s a caretaker manager until we have better players.
December 14, 2025 at 5:09 PM
You have a lot of conflicting statements here. Frank built a sustainable mid table side to consistently be safe from relegation. That shouldn’t be Tottenham’s goal. He’s never shown he can manage a side that should dominate possession which should be Tottenham‘s.
