One wonders why Trump does what he does. Pure ego, wanting a legacy of changing the country? Vengeance against his tormentors? Or greed? It is most certainly all of the above in some combination. Combining ego and greed, it is likely he plans to use the office to make his family richer than Musk.

I just went through this nightmare with Xfinity, and filed a complaint with the FTC. Can you say black hole?

Whatever you want to make of it, manufacturers in China make very high quality products. They do it fast - prototyping and scaling up - they do it cost effectively, and they do it professionally. It’s not the 1990s anymore. And yes - why are you gutting environmental regulations while touting them?

There ARE things government can do - there are laws and regulations against price gouging. We just don’t enforce them. The FTC under Lina Khan was taking steps, but, well, you know….
