And let’s be clear, this does NOTHING to address our addiction and overdose issues, because while Trump wages his Duarte-inspired “War on Drugs”, he has decimated SAMHSA, NIH, CDC, he has hobbled our ability to offer services to help people. He is making our drug issues WORSE, not better.

I’ve been in the field of addiction prevention for two decades, and a former (read: illegally fired) federal official with the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and I categorically reject and hold the upmost contempt for this “approach” to deal with drugs.

The problem is you are querying an uneducated public with uneducated questions. The illicit drug supply into the US is NOT via Venezuela, it just isn’t. It’s Mexico, Colombia, China, and India. Meanwhile he let a Honduran drug trafficker off the hook.
