Not usually Angry.
Making friendship bracelets to give away at the next No Kings event. Crafting to keep the existential dread away.

5 minutes for angry/frustrated tears. Then back to work.
These days are dark and getting darker. But time stops for no man. Not even Trump. There will be an after to all of this. Find strength in each other. Keep going.

Goodnight 💚

How is my cat able to take up a full third of the bed on her own? J and I keep getting pushed to the side so she can spread out.

Had such a great time this weekend at one of the MANY local No Kings peaceful protests in my area. Love this sense of community, the energy, the passion, the humor (some of these signs crack me up), the art... Just like with Hands Off I left inspired and feeling less alone. 💗

Being dismissive toward parents who are quoting state laws with specific code numbers and dates they were passed is probably a good way to get the superintendent called on a local principal... just saying...

So proud of my kiddo. Apparently she was asked on a worksheet yesterday what she knew about George Washington. She opted to say that he had dentures made from the teeth of his slaves. Could have said any of the easy stuff. Went with the messy.

Came across an article explaining this app earlier today. I will totally be using it from now on to make sure my money is not going where I don't want it to. You can access the site at publicsquare.com so you don't have to download anything. www.thestranger.com/news/2025/03...

My baby lilac tree I planted last year after we bought our house has finally bloomed. It's so tiny but smells so good.

I was lamenting to my husband that I felt like I'd be able to make more of a difference at a protest if I wasn't a "blue dot in a blue state". He reminded me of the trouble I had printing the pages for my protest poster. Some of the ink heads were clogged and needed to be cleaned so the images

Had a great time at the #HandsOff protests in Redmond and Seattle yesterday. Adding sunscreen to my bag for next time though. It's so important to remember we're not alone in this fight. These events help remind the community of that.

The 1st ammendment extends to everyone in this country. Not just citizens. As a legal green card holder he should not be treated differently. He has just as much right to protest as i do as a citizen. This is so messed up.
Leavitt: "Secretary Rubio reserves the right to revoke the visa of Mahmoud Khali. Under the immigration and nationality act, the secretary of state has the right to revoke a green card or a visa for individuals who are adversarial to the foreign policy and national security interests of the USA."

J and I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark with N tonight like we did with her sister around this age. We've got a fan. She was even interested in the mini history discussion we wound up having to help fill in the context.

If you don't have a copy of On Tyranny by Timothy Snyder, go get yourself a copy. We are going to need it's lessons now more than ever. There is even a graphic novel version now for those who would rather have visuals.

The SAVE act would cause voters to need either a passport or a birth certificate with their current name to prove their citizenship. This would cause millions of married women to be purged off voting roles unless they know and can afford to either get a passport or amend their birth certificates.
Call on Congress to Oppose The Save Act: Vote no on H.R. 22/S. 128!

House Republicans have introduced the extreme anti-voter SAVE Act and declared it among their top priorities this term.

Tell your members of Congress to vote NO on the SAVE Act!

@tadstoermer.bsky.social Sir, do you have or know of a good list of history books that parents of elementary, middle school, and high school aged children should try to have on hand to be able to help fill in gaps and correct propaganda that they'll likely be fed these next 4 years?

Just remember that every Republican that voted for Hegseth put this entire country in mortal danger. Also remember that every uneducated dipshit that voted for Trump did the same.
We will give no quarter. Don’t get tired, don’t get demoralized. You’re not helpless. These fuckers have a fight coming
