The goal is for ~80% of the schools' farms' produce to be used in the kitchens at River Valley, so students can enjoy the fruit of their labor in their #schoolmeals!

By taking care of plants & learning about nature, students can connect what they learn in the classroom to real life.

Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools partnered with 3 local beef producers for the #schoolmeals: S&J Farms, Kornder Farms, and BAMF Meats LLC.

These partnerships helped the district expand its #FarmtoSchool efforts, allowing students to enjoy more locally grown meals throughout the school year! [3/4]

The romaine lettuce was harvested by students at Glendale Elementary from the school's garden tower.

The pea shoot microgreens were provided by Matt Arrends of Spring Lake Farms, a Prior Lake graduate committed to nourishing the local area through sustainable farming practices. [2/x]
