Yeah I find having too many choices creates a weird paralysis and I just end up scrolling for stuff to watch. With crunchy I read reviews each season and put stuff on the watch list that seems interesting (which then gets shaved down over the season depending on how much is bad/boring)

It’s definitely on my to do list to get a Blu-ray player for the region I actually live in. There’s actually a lot of stores here that sell physical media still and it’s tempting.

That’s good to know, I’m a big library proponent so I’m glad people are using them.

Unfortunately I'm old enough that I used to have to buy 30 dollar VHS tapes of like 3 or 4 episodes to watch anything so the shine hasn't worn off for me

As someone who has to deal w/ piracy of my own work and how demoralizing it is my rule is that if I want to see/watch/listen to/play something badly enough I should pay for it. AFAIK the main issues they've had w/ AI subtitles was thru a subcontractor but it's a thing I'm keeping my eye on.

Yeah I've seen this line of reasoning but all media is still competing for the same slice of people's time. I know people consume a lot of low effort stuff already but they tend to do that in places where it's free (TikTok). If legacy media gets just as lazy and dumb it has no monetization strategy

Sorry for the late reply - I don't do split payments. I'd ask that folks applying for a 2 character piece designate one person as the point person for client emails and payment and have that person submit the form. That way I'm not in an awkward situation if one person pays and the other doesn't.
