I can only afford to try a few things this #hottomatosummer and today I was able to snag the Pomod’oro of the day at Baltik’s Bagels. The tomato bagel is so cute! The vodka sauce cream cheese flavor is fantastic. The whole thing is delicious!

We came home today to find that someone had run over one of our groundhogs. (A wild animal that lives in the woods adjacent to our house and occasionally visits our property to munch on clovers.)

Did want to leave him out there in the middle of the road so we gave him a proper resting place.
A gray brick with a few wild flowers on top of it sits in the middle of a mound of red clay dirt that was freshly dug up and replaced as a burial place for an animal who passed away.

Took the 16 year old to the bins this morning for some early #thrifting

He found some items he liked for himself but was excited about this 2000 Masters hat in perfect condition. That will be a resell because he has to fund his thrifting adventures somehow.

I waited way too long to get my hair cut. It feels so insanely better to not have bangs in my face and a little less length overall.

Another day, another Baltiks Bagel in the car wash.

Richmond, you sold Baltik Bagels out of their Asiago + pink pepper bagels today so I had to get my Tuscan Dirty Bird on a lemon pepper. (My favorite bagel.) It was delicious. Would definitely eat it this way again.
My hand is over the passenger seat of my Subaru holding a huge bagel sandwich containing sun dried tomato pesto, roasted turkey, Duke’s Mayo, massaged kale and kettle cooked potato chips.

My dad was an optician by day & musician the rest of the time. He was classically trained in several string instruments, eventually sticking with the bass. He could play literally any song, all he had to do was hear it or have sheet music. Tonight we stopped to see one of the many bands he was in.

A little belated, but this is our spot to come throw a few rose petals in the water at Victoria Beach (Laguna Beach, CA) and watch them be carried out to sea in remembrance of my dad. He passed in Feb 2022, but we had to push our visit back a couple months this year.

Touched down in Long Beach, CA. (Best airport!) A little daughter/mom/grandma trip plus visiting family and friends.

I’m still thinking about this patty melt from Brave Captain. My husband ordered it and offered me a bite. I almost wish he hadn’t because now I really need one of my own.
