The name “Angkoetlah” (literally translated as ‘take it’) came about after a couple of name changes, finally settling on this playful nod to the old Van Ophuijsen spelling system—fitting for my collection of retro or vintage clothing. The name also captures their mission to give clothes a new life instead of discarding them just because they’re out of style.
