Life cycles got me into botany; species-richness made me an evolutionary biologist. I’m interested in living and extinct seed plants, especially angiosperms. I like long runs, museums, botanical gardens and rainy days. My daughter is an artist.

Solved the problem with Linux graphics crashes! New build (1073) released, available on GitHub. One specific TextArea.setText(String) call was provoking Java to melt down. Almost certainly a bug in Java. Had to replace that TextArea in the Linux version with something hand-built.
