I’ll be working tomorrow. The only way I will see it live is if it’s on in one of my patient’s homes, which it most assuredly will be, and it will be on Fox News since I live in Arkansas. I am not ready for this.

Home health SLP, and the amount of times I have had to discharge a pt when they have had a Medicare Advantage plan (Humana, UHC, etc.) before they were ready because their 60 days were up after a stroke is criminal.

When I was an insurance biller for a neurologist, UHC would frequently deny to pay for a nerve conduction study on all 4 limbs. We would have to fight it because they would only pay for 2. Most people have 4 limbs. We had a dept just for insurance denials because they were so frequent.

This. There needs to be an urgent care attached to a hospital that doesn’t charge like the ER does, this would cut down on unnecessary trips to the ER.

Home health SLP here. I have been saying this for years. Employees might get a raise if employers and employees don’t have premiums to pay! People look at me like I have 3 heads until I explain it.
