I had a group of students get into a small tugging match over your book when they saw your last name and one turned to me and said MS. ANGIE TELL THEM I GET IT BECAUSE IT'S MY LAST NAME TOO.

it worked for giving them a dedicated/solid surface that was also easy to build on and easy to move. And it was pretty steady/solid, which we planned to develop more. Also it was cheap because as I am sure you remember, I paid for everything there or got donations so...

yeah I really struggled with this when I was in the 3-6th library and had to switch every period when they were coming in for instruction + I only put the "big" puzzle out for 5-6. Eventually William just built me something out of cardboard and foam board. It didn't have the lip or the drawers, but-

also this one line just summed the whole article up for me: "Caring for David is holy work," - wrong! Caring for David is labor intensive work requiring great expertise and time. That costs MONEY because it is NOT a religious or spiritual calling. It is WORTHY work, but it is LABOR. not holy.

additionally, I have had soooooo many 7-8th graders ask me for "dark romantasy" and then seem genuinely confused when the answer is I don't have adult dragon/fairy smut on my school library shelves that it makes the Colleen Hoover era seem quaint.
