And then we go back to Percy, who has a sad expression on his face, the sunlight which represents their love, surrounding him completely, but his face is dark, covered by shadows and so is not facing it, not feeling the love that seems to be around them.

We see that Percy has his back to the sun when he confesses his love to her, and her face started to illuminate when she realises what he had said to her, but she decides to step out of it because she's afraid, not wanting to acknowledge her own feelings in that moment.
