In 2034 my spouse will be 68. Just saw this news story come across my feed and had to laugh because 23 years ago he won a costume contest where the theme was "Come as your favorite myth". He wore a sweatshirt that read "Your Social Security is just fine and will be waiting for you upon retirement."

This is the 7th Mother's Day since I lost her. I still miss her every day, but the tears don't fall as often as they used to.

I'm gonna miss this man.

I was curious so I did a quick search on the origins of April Fools Day. I've studied enough history to feel like this seems a plausible story. I also found it really interesting that there are so many countries that "celebrate" the same way on the 1st of April. #BoringFacts #ResearchForNoReason

Took my 76 year old father to his PCP today and the RN began his visit by asking him the first 4 questions on this list. When I asked why, she said it was to see if he was depressed. Then I said, "he's not the one you should worry about". They both laughed. 🙃 #EverythingIsFine

Just came across a pic of myself from 2019 when I had a mohawk. *sigh* I miss that haircut, but I just don't have the energy anymore that's required to HAVE that haircut. 😞

Reading this #book by Sarah Clegg. Just read this: "I'm as pro wassailing as the next person, but I am baffled by a newspaper that thinks wassails are what will mend our society rather than a re-instatement of the social safety net, and perhaps a touch less racism, misogyny and transphobia." ❤️❤️❤️

I do a lot of #baking for my small business and most of my customers will always choose anything with #chocolate over anything else. The price of it has been on the rise since 2020 so I thought I'd check out where we get it since tariffs are looming. *sigh*

I normally wouldn't put up my tree before Thanksgiving, but I needed the joy this year. The glowing lights and sparkling ornaments help me remember how beautiful Christmas was when I was a child. My atheist heart appreciates the beauty and I have so many happy memories of family time.
