Recently, the real homegrown freaks are swamped by weird, probably mostly AI-generated, conspiracy accounts & coordinated RW propaganda accounts throwing spaghetti at the wall for clicks. It's now the National Enquirer of social media, & we're all standing at the checkout line at the grocery store.

Big picture guy whose timing has been so good, you have to listen to him.

How do Klein and Yglesias have so much influence? It's depressing. Even if their ideas were sound--and they're not--these weak tea policy goals are useless for galvanizing voters.

The lack of SEC oversight could do as much damage as the capricious approach to policy. Who's going to be able to trust what companies say or their filings?

How much of this already resides at third-party data brokers?

They'd rather do anything other than pay American workers.

Most sectors are heavily concentrated because of lobbying/propaganda leading to anti-trust being suspended for decades. Regressive taxes, offshoring, immigration, financialization, etc. = working poor & middle class losing ground. Policy ideas that don't address all this are distractions.

It's cheaper to pay the tickets than pay for a garage. It's a strategy in NYC.

Maybe the valuation doesn't matter if investors are getting shares of options of xAI and think there's upside on that?••••••••

It might be better for him and the Clintons to be quiet. Every time the corporate Democrats open their mouths, they remind me of why we're in this situation. Hillary explicitly chose identity politics over populism, and we need to let Bernie wing of the party be the loudest now.

They're on the SEC site once they've filed.

What if Canada retaliates by enforcing their AML laws?

Parallels to Trump's personality and story line.
March 5, 2025 at 4:42 PM
True, but important to focus on what his tough guy persona obscures: he's been bought by the wealthy RW conspirators who plan to take over the world. That was true during Trump.1; this time they're more organized & motivated. Everything gets sold off while we're distracted by endless outrages.

Is this the beginning of the pump so Elon can sell a ton of shares? Jonas report, Elon's tweets, robotaxi announcement...seems coordinated.

NP, the analysts will just put it back in.

Pro-growth = pro profits. Deficits fund their profits because taxpayers subsidize them in multiple ways, particularly by offering benefits to the workers they hire at below a living wage. And inflation is actually good for profits for a lot of companies--people forget that.

I think it's become part of a coordinated influence operation. Content seems to be fed into a bunch of astroturfed accounts & boosted depending on current news & how they want their followers to interpret it. Misinformation, distrust of MSM are features. Today the German elections are in focus.

Wokeness is perhaps the most galvanizing right-wing wedge issue. The right sees it as the definition of "left wing," & they're partly right. The "left" ignores criticism of wokeness at its peril. If nothing else, it's sucked up air needed for more profound battles related economic inequality.

How would this be organized? Most people probably don't think about the connections between buying the car, the stock price and Musk's wealth. And from what I understand, if you want to buy an EV, Tesla is the default option in the U.S. And Musk's fan base alone might fill in the gap.

The average person can't comprehend how vast is the wealth that these Silicon Valley and PE people have sucked up & don't understand how it impoverishes them because of constant propaganda generated by the business class. When you financialize an entire economy, it's a zero-sum game.

Ark used to own a lot, but I don't think is in the top 10 anymore. Boycotting the products would probably be easier, as well as X's advertisers. Also, private services that use Starlink, like T-Mobile.
