2/2 So the exact same visit if I had no insurance is $150… So not only do we pay an exorbitant amount each month for insurance, and our deductible is the amount of a small mortgage, I pay more than an uninsured person to visit the doctor…Such a broken system. I may self insurance, seriously.

1/2 Make this make sense to me! My doctors office charges $480 to my insurance for an office visit, of which they tell me I owe $211. The equation behind that I’ll leave for another day.I asked for the cash pay sheet. At first they wouldn’t even give it to me because I do have insurance. I insisted.
