Hello there!
I'm a Mexican software developer I started this journey around 2015 focusing mainly about #javascript #angular and #webdevelopment with the years […]

Whew, added a bunch of code and finally start adding tests to my F# Threads API library

https://github.com/AngelMunoz/Threads.Lib

I however... might want to write a bit more of opinionated code to provide a SDK-like experience

"Why are you talking about threads here?" because... it is what […]

Playing a bit with my Threads API wrapper written in F# and the sample app with @avaloniaui@dotnet.social

Mostly I'm just testing that the requests are well encoded and are somewhat ergonomic to use, the Avalonia bits are just for fun!

Code over here […]

Damn I always underestimate nintendo when it comes to what they monetize.
I can't complain, I love Nintendo Music and of course I will be using that thing daily, I'm just wondering why it took them so long

Not that there's much to it but v1 of my simple node version manager written in F# has been released https://github.com/AngelMunoz/NvmFs/releases/tag/v1.0.0
Available as a dotnet tool as well
https://www.nuget.org/packages/NvmFs

Also announcing that I don't plan to maintain it further anymore […]

every time I re-install linux I remember that my nvmfs thing is broken on linux even if I "fixed it" last time

nvmfs = a plaything in F# to download node versions

(which is weird because I almost never use more than one version)

Saved myself from doing F# by installing fedora on another SSD.
I know if i get back to Migrondi I will end up going crazy by January

Keep in mind I'm just a casual!
I have been trying to win the ultimate cup z in Kirby and the forgotten land and the last phase always gets in my way for one way or another.
A couple weeks without playing took down my performance so bad 😔
However it is one of the games that even if I get mad […]

The most annoying part of the year is when I want to buy shit just because I want to.
e.g. I want a new mouse and another keyboard but what I have works just fine.
But I'll take a bunch of time to not buy essential stuff like my glasses 😆 because "they still work"

Every now and then I feel the itch of writing zig or rust.

I don't have anything in mind yet, it's just the itch

I think this is as far as I'll go for this sample blog-eske website

This is a classic'ish website with aspnet and F# server-side rendering, almost no JS, no HTMX, streamed HTML and, if you see it on a chromium browser you won't even notice page reloads!

https://github.com/AngelMunoz/Openapo […]

I must fight the urge of going back to continue working on migrondi because last time I worked on it I burned out, but there's stuff I want to refactor and add 😆

The blog thing lasted until today's morning I think lol

Ahhh man... I'm not sure if this will last, but fine I'll dive in the "let's build a blog web server" thing

Running F# in fly.io with their sqlite support is going to be something interesting I've seen that in JSland but I'm not well versed in how that resulted
October 22, 2024 at 6:31 PM
What platform are you on?
Yes

I gave a spin to fly.io with an I gave a spin to fly.io with an F# aspnet app today, besides "fly launch" not working with *.fsproj (reported on GH) the rest was quite a breeze! I remember I stopped doing backend stuff because heroku was the only place I could deploy F# in a simple manner I […]
