@texasstandard.bsky.social - And yes, having to repeat their trauma story over and over is a barrier to actually getting help. Plus, many of the staff don’t seem to understand neurodiversity, which impacts many of their prospective clients.

@texasstandard.bsky.social - I have worked with several troubled young people who have been through the gauntlet of trying to get help through agencies and organizations that seem to think handing them a standard list of “resources” is “helping.”

I didn’t know much about Charlie Kirk, but like so many Democratic activists, I condemn the violence that led to his death and grieve for his young family. 1)
