There a scene, it’s small, that hits me right in the feels every time in the Dicky Attenborough version of A Miracle on 34th Street. Irma when he uses sign language to speak with a young deaf girl. It is utterly delightful.

It’s not the Christian allegory of Narnia either. I’m agnostic. It’s just the pure fairy tale fantasy of the stories I love and I haven’t read all the books yet but a few months ago I bought the boxset I always coveted so I can read them all. #Narnia #BBCNarnia #CSLewis 3/3

I can’t really explain what it is about Narnia that I love so much. I watched this BBC series when it started in 1988, it hit me at just the right time in my childhood. I’ve been looking for portals ever since, even in the stories I have tried writing they involve a portal of some kind. 2/3 #Narnia

When I saw the trailer, without knowing who the director was, I thought ‘this looks a lot like Saltburn’. Of course it does, Emerald Fennell.
Like with Gerwig directing Narnia, I wonder if we’ll have another long, not actually in the books, speech about what it is to be a woman.
