I get you. I prefer my self-hosting over social media, since I know for a fact it won't disappear tomorrow, of I'd have to "fight" an algorithm to have a chance, or even annoying ads, or change their terms or anything so certain content wouldn't be allowed anymore or whatever

I get it. A blog/ website is lots of work as well. A friend of mine rather uses Instagram for her reviews, instead of an independent platform, such as a self-hosted site. And it's true it's more work than a social media account

I honestly don't think so. You can create a dummy account and check the reader/ blog feed via wp.com - they got lots of blogs there! You could even use the dummy site to link to your blog. There're so many blogs out there, it's worth it!

I'm also afraid of art/ character theft or their use without my permission. So, that's the other part why I avoid sharing them. Although, I hope Bsky to be a safe environment for them
