You know what is so much more fun than revising? Reading Agents & Books and making lists of agents to query about this nonexistent book.

I am making a structural analysis chart of my second novel(la) (it's really just a novel that stops in the middle) and about half the scenes are "[Character] walks around and feels weird"

Word count: -729 words, now 81,406.
-Changed some stuff where it was too omniscient, but I liked it better that way and now it is worse because I tried to follow a writing rule.
-No idea why I am doing this.
-I don't care about this.
-This is impossible and also not fun or good.

Word count change: -1128, now 84,385.
-Deleted stuff.
-Felt very bad at writing.

Word count change: -1,053, now 85,513.
-Added some stuff back in from the very first draft.
-Found some wild stuff in that draft (the MC electrocuted the other MC with magic).
-Went "My God!" out loud when I found another boring part I had to cut a ton of.
-Tweaked some thematic stuff.

Word count change: +533ish, now 86,566.
-Wrote some new bits based on character arc chart.
-Wrote some stuff in 1st person to get more inner feelings and it worked (?).
-Tweaked miscellaneous things.
-Added very over-obvious foreshadowing.

-Moved some stuff and got rid of some exposition.
-Made a boring scene much shorter.
-Felt despair.
-Didn't want to revise things based on my structure plan.
-Realized I was supposed to write a bunch of new scenes.
-Did not write anything new.

-Put character arcs into my structure chart.
-Thought about some cool stuff so it fits together more and is less random blobs of writing.
-Tried to convince myself there was something very important to do and I couldn't start editing in the ms.
-Started editing.

-Looked at my new structure chart and filled in scenes I need to write
-Noted some ideas for Exciting New Things that can happen
-Answered questions in my Questions to Answer doc
