I feel the same; I'd seen the news about the changes, and I refuse to go watch it - Lilo & Stitch was also a big part of my childhood and from what I've seen online the new film discards the whole point of the original. Just a shame.

Mostly watch their YT Shorts (which are hilarious) but they seem a really good group! I watched a couple episodes of their Edge of Midnight series and was stunned by how serious the tone was 🤣
