I'm in/from the UK. I've not seen any of the protesting or the work you are all doing against fascism in the news here (and I read leftist news!) You are my source of protest news.

I just read they are reducing benefits to people deemed unfit for work - how is that going to help them get back to work?! It's sounds a lot like eugenics to me.

why are working people the only valid humans in this country anymore? what about children, parents, carers, disabled people, pensioners...? they are just ignoring the rest of us, or punishing us because we can't work.

that's not being tough, it's being a bully.

if he wasn't born rich, he'd have been a dodgy car salesman anyway. he just has that vibe.

you hit the nail on the head with "not-yet-born" - they don't care about children, they just want to control women's/people with uteruses' bodies.

i was recovering from the worst illness of my life. It hurt to breathe. I had to pause walking up the stairs because I got out of breath so fast. But i was told it wasn't covid as i hadn't been in contact it with a confirmed case. (It was covid - i got it in late Feb 2020).

I've been chronically ill for the past 18 years. People still ask me if i'm any better yet! I've no idea how to reply to that one. truth (that they don't want to hear) - i will never get any better. or some vague non-answer to make them feel better because I don't have the energy!
March 2, 2025 at 11:01 AM
Are we surprised though? given western medicine's complete inability to treat conditions like ME/CFS and other complex chronic conditions? (speaking from experience!) If they can't cure it and it doesn't kill you, then we're just left to get on with it....

that link worked for me but not the nih.gov one. I'm in the UK.

this reeks of "I was only joking, love"

Kids cost a lot of money - pregnancy and birth needs a lot of healthcare, then there's education (or do they not need that these days?!) children don't pay tax or become happy little workers until they are 18 (uh oh, unless, child labour). whereas immigrants can be instant skilled workforce...

where did that money come from? and why if they have that do they need to stop paying money to disabled and poor people? And how much of it will go to share holders?
February 18, 2025 at 11:24 AM
boycott, educate others about living in a system with finite resources, increase scientific understanding, build community, instead of shopping for fun, learn a new skill/hobby, embrace making, doing things, growing things instead. (But i've no idea how to get enough people to do these)
February 18, 2025 at 9:41 AM
i got told off for doing the schoolwork (because i was supposed to be listening to the teacher go on and on!)
February 12, 2025 at 7:16 PM
they've had the last 10 years to come up with plans. all i've seen is them planning consultations and acting like Reform (with bragging about deporting migrants in adverts). there's been no help for the NHS, poor or disabled people. and the two-child cap is still putting more children into poverty.
February 11, 2025 at 10:07 AM
i voted Labour to get rid of the tories and keep reform out, only we seem to have got those anyway! I have been thinking for months "what has labour done to help?" and the answer is nothing. (please correct me if i'm wrong!) I'm voting Green next time.

they seem to think that if people got treatment, they would be fine. Only many conditions are not treatable, or if they are, only parts of the condition is treatable. I'd love treatment that would cure all my many conditions, but there isn't any.

Yes i think so. Overwhelmed people are powerless. but also i saw something about how feeling joy is now an act of rebellion!

I'm sure we can imagine by the circumstances that it's not anything good!

I had to stop taking B12 as my B12 blood test was way too high. I'd suggest asking your GP to check yours. I don't take it now, only get B12 from nooch, and it's still too high! I won't take anything with B6 in it now.

I'm struggling to process what is happening in your country. I cannot even imagine how difficult that must be for you.
January 30, 2025 at 7:51 AM
they can, or they can make you much worse, depending on if they actually know about EDS, which in my experience most don't! I had one who didn't understand fatigue and pushed me too hard, so i crashed and went from being the strongest I've ever been, to being unable to exercise at all.
