Small in stature - large in character - proud European #FBPE - Grandmother a Suffragette - activist working to root out and prevent #VAWG 😊🇪🇺
Amazing - fascinates me that in UK Yew trees can regularly be found in graveyards because their evergreen nature and poisonous berries deter livestock, allowing them to thrive - I wonder if there are specific reasons that #Orkney rarely has trees in graveyards - Tonbridge church graveyard picture

Has there ever been such a gross recital of hogwash in the history of Transatlantic relations?

intelligence and intellect are different traits lazily attributed as possessed by individuals in equal measure when patently there are those who appear intelligent but have developed no intellect - below is list of public figures I think that fit this bill - opinions on a postcard please 🤣

A small end of column set of figures recently published the The Times - a leading UK newspaper - dispiriting - it would be interesting to see similar figures for USA - we women clearly need to gird our loins with renewed energy for the struggle - no complacency here

I am an ‘older’ feminist - I still work on women’s issues and although this picture is actually from 2000’s I thought you might appreciate the sentiment - that’s me without the hat! (Disappointed I can’t join your drop-in)

Recently passed through Bishops Waltham - which got its name during the Middle Ages when an Anglican Bishop sited Waltham Palace there (ie church administrative regional headquarters) - took a picture of the town square clock - topped by a Bishops Mitre - an interesting manifestation of history!

Soroptimists hold events during the UN 16 days of activism every year to bring attention to #VAWG - one activity is to get local focal points lit up in orange - here is Portsmouth’s Spinnaker this year

Sorting wardrobe today - chanced on T-shirt that caused me to wander down memory lane - when will the nation come to its senses and realise where its best interests lie?

Not an oak but found this yew in a Kent church yard - fascinated to learn yews planted in church yards as poisonous to animals which dissuaded them from grazing and disrupting graves - comforting to relatives of those permanently occupying the space beneath who were indeed in a grave position 🤣

My ambition for the day - to look as serene and composed as this owl I met on a walk recently - although won’t vouch for achieving this until I have contemplated things over my first cup of coffee
