My theory, this is how the season ends. They take down Vox but it's too late, Heaven has already gathered up it's army in response, then that's season 3

It's why he's so freaked out when Vox and Velvette show up at the hotel, He doesn't have his armor on here, he's exposed, they can really hurt him (which they do).

The attitude is Angel's mask, and the pink suit is his costume, the armor he puts up to protect himself as best as he can when he has to be in those terrible situations. Around Val he has to be rough and snappy or he's likely to get hurt. But around the hotel, he can be soft, because he's safe.

I figured the pink suit was gone for good, but then it's back in episode 6. Specifically, when he's going to meet Val for work. What's ALSO back in that scene is that "fake" attitude that Husk was so bothered by in season 1, acting like all of the overworking and abuse is a big joke.

I love an updated character design, but this also represents the softer way he interacts with everyone else. He looks forward to therapy, he's a shoulder to lean on for Cherry, he's showing Husk blob fish photos because he thinks they're cute.
