Oy, the Red Cross has been texting, emailing, and calling me like crazy but I haven't been able to fit it into my work schedule. I made a plan to slow down so I hope to have time to donate soon.

Got power back after a week (large tree branch fell and took out the electric meter just before the holiday weekend) Snatched my car from the jaws of insurance co deciding they were going to total it (branch also fell on my car).

I get this. Spent over a decade alone and was so sure it just wasn't going to happen but met my SO almost two years ago and our relationship is wonderful. Moving in on the 16th.

If you like dark roast, Starbucks French Roast K-Cups are pretty true to the brewed version.

Treated myself to a much-needed acupuncture appt. Working on reducing my caseload to take care of overwhelm, while packing and purging for my move. Movers arrive on the 16th so I'm in the homestretch.

Took my nieces, great-nieces, and a great-nephew to the youth performance of Madagascar, Jr. The show is only one hour, so it's great for little kids with limited attention spans. Hadn't seen them in much too long.

I've started making mine with a little liquid smoke (found that in a recipe). Nice touch.

I get this! I'm a GAL and helped parents come to a parenting plan agreement to avoid a final hearing. Avoids a long, nasty day in court so definitely in the children's best interests.
