Fireflies - thousands of them - are putting on a show all around us tonight! Shitty day, but my heart is now overflowing. 5 yrs ago we would be so excited to see 6 or 7 of them, then built a habitat that is hospitable to them- what a payoff! A cute little toad also made me smile. A magical night!

Good. I raised hell for weeks re our local OPP’s fb page, which was rife with racist comments, but only got canned/evasive responses. Escalated it to the central OPP office. More canned email responses, but finally got a human in their media relations dept.

It’s citrus season! Moroccan clementines and Meyer lemons juiced and frozen, and now I can dream of cool, refreshing sorbets and mocktails for warm summer evenings. I’ve heard culinary experts rave about Meyer lemons’ juice and edible peels but this Meyer lemon adventure is new to me! 🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡
