American border-crossing with an Indian passport was so stressful when I studied here; I’ll never take for granted the ease of doing the same since becoming British.

10/10 would recommend Indians move to countries with better citizenship pathways than America.

AI-slop will rule the world.

A user on HN linked to a post on my site from 1 hr ago containing Claude-words after letting it loose on my obsidian vault to find contradictions in my thinking. It sorta blew up?

I've spent more time on other posts with <50 reads.

The writing game's gone, lads.

Scored these but burned a hole in me pockets, a week ago at the Folio Society sale. Some really beautiful books out there.

@angadh.com I really like the formatting of your blog. The typography, suggested soundtracks, clear links, and organizations work well together. I'm enjoying the variety of topics as well. Thanks for sharing your writing!

Space data centres will not be cheaper than terrestrial ones.

There may be something underlying the idea but it won’t be found in a business case premised on 2 digit/kg launch cost.

Radiators are killers.

There’s no way that Starcloud can put a data centre in space at $8.2 million using one Starship launch

I recently read Thoreau’s Civil Disobedience — it’s an exemplary demonstration of what an essay can be.

Thoreau’s wit and style are striking but also reveals how little things have changed with govt and the problems civil society has with it.

There was a brief moment when NASA was figuring out how to build von Braun wheels.

Then Apollo’s messed it up.

I unpack this and more in the link below.

I often meet people who dunk on London (& the UK/Europe generally) a lot.

But one of my first convos, upon moving here from California, with a barista caught me off guard when he said he owned a home.

Not qualified to say Claude et al will replace SWE but I will pronounce myself Claude whisperer.

The kinds of things I want in my static website in appearance and writing workflow (Obsidian+Jekyll+css) would simply not be possible for someone at my skill level without Claude+Cursor.

"Flow" was the best movie I watched at the London Film Festival. Pleased that it won the best animated film at the Golden Globes. Cannot recommend the movie enough.

Something I am sitting with and find striking is how inhuman the humanity of ChatGPT’s advanced voice mode is. I just can’t get myself to take it seriously.

When does data become humanity? Can it?

I remember a time I used to stay up to watch India bat. I’m glad that Bumrah has changed that for the last 6 or so years. What a dude.
